Hello there, We
are glad your here!
First
off we want to know what are your intentions? What are you
looking for? What are you looking to achieve? Is it
confidence,
agility, strength, focus, self esteem, fitness.... For you or your
children?
These are some of the
questions we want to know and want you to be clear on. Anyone can offer
you the world and have you join their school just to find out that you
were not a great fit. We think a
better alternative is to address the things you are looking to
accomplish first then see where things fit.
Most
schools can offer you an okay experience and partially deliver what you
are trying to accomplish but we want to deliver to you and your family
an exceptional experience and education hopefully for years to
come.
In that light I would urge you to check out the video on choosing a
martial arts school which will help you make an informed decision.

Aikido is a unique form of martial art. Its emphasis lies on the harmonious fusion of mind and body with the natural laws of Nature. Aikido focuses on accepting and respecting the energy of life and nature and channeling this harmony onto techniques that expresses this energy in physical forms.
Aikido is often viewed as [...]
When you learn the truth of Karate kumite, there are certain truths about how to fight. One of the truths is that the mind shuts down during combat, and survival mode kicks in. Adrenalin junkies would have you believe this is good, but it is not, it is the worst thing that could happen.
While MMA is a popular sport, there are problems with it. Let’s be honest, while some fellow is using that Gracie Jujitsu, he is rolling around and vulnerable to an attack from his opponents friends. Not to mention that it is not always the most intelligent thing to roll around on the ground while some fellow is trying to stab you with a knife or broken bottle.
Here’s a question I shouldn’t be asking. After all, as a fellow who sells martial arts DVDs, I should be trying to sell you large amounts of everything, right? Because I prefer happy customers, let me answer this question.
I know there will be people who will disagree with me, but I was there forty years ago, and I know the truth. The truth is that the karate fighters of forty years ago, students of Shotokan and Wado Ryu and Uechi Ryu, and especially Kyokushinkai, could have taken todays mixed martial arts fighters apart quickly and easily. There are quite a few reasons for this, and I will go over just one of the main ones in this article.
Yoon Bying In wanted to study kung fu in the worst possible way, yet the kung fu master in his town refused to teach Koreans. Time after time Yoon had been caught peeking in windows and had been chased away from the dojo. Then Yoon got a brilliant idea.
I grew up in the fifties, and this strange thing called Karate exploded onto the scene. Frail women could use it to take down savage brutes. Even a child could use it to protect himself against the bullies.
Yoon Bying In wanted to study kung fu more than anything in the world, yet the kung fu master in his town refused to teach Koreans. Time after time Yoon had been caught peeking in windows and had been chased away by the master. Then Yoon had a smart idea.
Every once in a while somebody in the martial arts will come across the concept of The Golden Sphere. Aikido is big on this theory, Pa Kua Chang deals with it directly, and Tai Chi Chuan done resolutely will, eventually, create The Golden Sphere. And even those arts considered base and coarse, such as Tae Kwon Do and Karate, will, done long enough and with enough attention to detail, and with sufficient eye to the virtues of humanity, result in The Golden Sphere.
Martial Arts is more than just a way to defend yourself; its a way of life. Once you learn a style like Tae Kwon Do, you have learned a skill that is going to stay with you for the rest of your life, and you will be secure in the knowledge that you have bettered yourself and are able to protect yourself and the ones that are close to you.
